A New Chapter

When I first self-published my trilogy as Bex Gooding, I couldn’t have imagined how many readers would find and connect with those stories. As I step into a new world, and a new series, I’m doing so under my full author name, R.A. Gooding.  This change reflects where my writing has grown, but my heart for storytelling remains the same.  Under the name R.A. Gooding, I’m launching a new fantasy series set closer to our world, but with the same love of myth and magic that shaped my first trilogy. Thank you for continuing the journey with me.

 

About Me

I am a UK-based Author of supernatural and urban fantasy fiction. Born in Devon, England, I am an avid reader of all types of fiction, especially loving the escapism into fantasy, SciFi and horror. 

 

My writing blends folklore, mystery, and reluctant heroism, often grounded in evocative real-world settings. I am particularly interested in stories where characters grapple with identity, legacy and the cost of leadership.  

 

I have loved to write my own stories since reading The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkein at primary school. I have tried to write poetry, but beyond the witty Limerick I couldn’t seem to get the timing right, which is probably why I can’t sing and play the tambourine at the same time.

 

In the Wolfangel Chronicles I have created a world and characters drawing from imagination and personal experiences, the good, the bad and the downright ugly. The Wolfangel Chronicles are the 'umbrella' under which I wrote my first trilogy.

The Haunted Shores series set in and around Seaton in East Devon came about when I was drawn to this wonderful seaside town with its charm, history, and magic.
